Take a ride through Ferguson Citywalk and you just might end up on Mars. At the Challenger Learning Center, visitors can experience what it’s like to be an astronaut, using state-of-the-art NASA mission simulators.
Historical House Tours
Ferguson has some of the most beautiful Victorian-era houses in St. Louis, most within walking distance of the Citywalk district. All are welcome to stroll through neighborhoods likeOld Ferguson West following Ferguson’s self-guided historical walking tours. Tour info is available at the kiosk in front of City Hall, 110 Church Street.
Just one mile up the road from Ferguson Citywalk is the Touhill, one of St. Louis’ premier performing arts venues. Designed by the firm of world-renowned architect I. M. Pei, the facility hosts an exciting array of internationally known performers. Visitors to the Touhill often come to Citywalk for dinner before the show.
Ted Jones Bike Trail
Built along a former railroad right-of-way, this 2.2 mile paved trail runs from Ferguson Citywalk, through an art-filled tunnel under Hwy 70, and onto the campus of University of Missouri. Part of the new North County Bikeway, it connects to 13 miles of additional trails, following some of North County’s most scenic roadways. It also lets out near the UMSL-North Metrolink station.Click here for a trail map.
The Savoy

Built in the 1930s as a neighborhood movie theater, the Savoy now hosts concerts, dinner dances, and live theater performances. Still ripe with ambiance, its main ballroom is crowned by a grand crystal chandelier that once hung in the Henry VIII Hotel.

For a very special dining experience, enjoy a cup of creamy, delicious frozen custard at the Whistle Stop, a former train depot dating to 1855. Locomotives still zip by this unique establishment, and sometimes the conductor will stop the train for a bite to eat. Both a restaurant and a museum, the Whistle Stop offers an interesting peek at Ferguson’s history as a train town…and the food is great too.

The Flower Depot, a local landmark for 15 years, offers an alluring collection of fresh flowers, specialty gifts, dreamy chocolates, and seasonal delights. Gaga's, a district newcomer, sells a quirky mix of vintage treasures, hand-painted furniture, and charming housewares.
